In 2005, Michael Poczkalski started Michael P. Design, specializing in residential and commercial interiors. Discovering the need for high-level design products he and partner David Brugh opened room, a luxury furniture boutique offering Buffalo classic contemporary home styling, featuring a stunning selection of furniture, tableware, rugs and accessories. We take pride in carrying sustainable brands and have a passion for regional, responsible and eco-friendly design.

Having built a loyal following over the years, we expanded with the opening of babyroom, which epitomizes “baby cool,” bringing a playful mix of gifting and high design to our flagship Hertel Avenue location. sprout is our newest addition to the room family. sprout provides all you need for Buffalo’s changing seasons: accessories, decorations and other home essentials for both indoors and outdoors.

The room trio believes that “creativity is community.” We have made it our mission to spark the conversation about high design in our great city. We strive to bring our worldly ideas and inspiration to our customers and fans across Western New York and beyond.

BABYroom is a shop within our Hertel Ave. location, where contemporary and stylish design combine to create a fun, playful retreat for you and your baby. babyroom offers a unique assortment of products not found in typical retail stores. Pick the essentials or that very unique item, and make your room yours. Your baby’s space should be a representation of your home’s décor and personal style. A new concept store by room, Sprout is an ever-changing pop-up shop that rotates new merchandise with each season. Sprout was created specifically for your seasonal home both indoors and out. In winter we feature a winter wonderland, stocked to the ceiling with icy whites, ruby reds, cool silver and glistening gold decorations for your tree, mantle and every nook and cranny of your home. In spring and summer you will find unique garden art, lawn accessories and whimsical indoor/outdoor furniture.
