Mass Times: Join us!
Weekdays: 9 am (Latin)
Saturdays: 9 am (Latin)
Sunday: 9 am (English)
11 am (Sung Latin)
Masses at Sacred Heart are said in both in English, in the Ordinary Form (the Roman Rite since after Vatican II) and in Latin, in the Extraordinary Form (the Roman Rite from before 1962). Both are different forms of the same Mass and are valid for your obligation, and parishioners and visitors are welcome at either.
If you have never attended an Extraordinary Form Mass, please be sure to use one of the Latin/English missals available at the entrances to follow along. The assembly makes very few responses in the Extraordinary Form, and prayers are either sung or chanted by the choir (High Mass) or spoken by the priest (Low Mass). Also, both the priest and the assembly face the same way during the Consecration. In the Extraordinary Form, the assembly participates by silently joining their prayers with the priest’s. Otherwise, you will find that the two forms of the Mass are essentially the same.

If you wish to have a mass offered for the intentions of a person living or the repose of the soul of a beloved deceased, please call the office Monday through Thursday, 11 am - 4 pm, or send your request by mail to the church office. Only one intention is allowed per Mass by the Archdiocese, and Canon Law requires that one Mass on Sundays and Holy Days be offered “pro populo” -- for the people of parish. Mass intentions exceeding the number of Masses each year are not held for future years, but are sent to missions. The offering for the Mass remains $5.00.
