Saferide at Frostburg State University

Call. Ride. Get on with your night! SafeRide is a service available for FSU students requesting free transportation if they are tired, have a long distance to walk, feel unsafe, or are intoxicated. Call 301-687-RIDE(7433) Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 10pm to 2am to have a vehicle dispatched anywhere in Frostburg from Water St. (The Post Office) to Grant St. (The Hanger) We will pick up at any location (homes, bars, academic buildings…), but we do not drop off at Franchises (bars, convenience stores, fast food…).

*Though underage drinking is illegal and discouraged by the Frostburg State University, SafeRide works with campus police, and maintains a “Good Samaritan” policy which does not report the names of intoxicated minors using the service. We just want you to get home or to your dorm safely. Drivers reserve the right to deny service to individuals who cannot enter the vehicle unassisted, are carrying alcohol, cannot produce a valid Frostburg ID card, require medical attention, are violent or disorderly, or are repeat offenders of SafeRide guidelines. SafeRide is a program of the Student Government Association, funded by Student Activity Fees and sponsored by Gianni's Pizza of Frostburg.*
