SALT makerspace

Syracuse Arts Learning and Technology (SALT) Makerspace is work and studio space for artists, friends and the community. This community-operated facility provides a collaborative artisan space for prototyping, designing, education using state of the art 3D Printers and Laser cutter. SALT provides a convenient and economical space for both established artists and creative individuals to access classes, work on creations, and have a space to store their ongoing projects until completion. Based on the concept of Makerspaces started in the 90’s and embracing the premise of open source creativity and exchange, SALT will join a network of more 1,100 makerspaces worldwide. Makerspaces are not limited to professional artists, as statistics have shown that people of all backgrounds have demonstrated an interest in participating in and joining makerspaces. We want to help make Syracuse a more rounded environment for creativity in all its forms.
