Same As It Never Was Photography

My story begins with a gift 14 years ago, a Nikon D3200. Seeing life through the lens of a camera became a passion. It wasn’t until 2008, my own marriage and birth of my son, that I personally started realizing how important pictures really are in telling a person’s personal “fairy tale”. In 2010 my husband deployed to Afghanistan, I wanted to use my talent to help other soldiers and their families capture these special moments that they needed to “freeze” in time to share with those loved ones that were deployed.
That is where my adventure really began, the passion I feel to be able to share in the moments people experience is powerful. The name of my company was created because of that passion. Same As It Never Was……. No matter how hard anyone tries to get that moment back, it will never be the same as it ever was or will be.
I don’t follow the typical photographers pose and shoot rules. I like to capture the raw moments of interactions, facial expressions when a bride and groom see each other for the very first time, a child or spouse’s excitement when they see their soldier surprise them coming home, the tears of joy from a proposal, and the love of soon to be parents awaiting that bundle of joy arriving soon. I know how precious these moments are and I want to take the time to get exactly what my customers are looking for when they call. I want to capture “their” moment exactly how they want to remember it for years to come.
