Sapporo Restaurant

Sapporo is a family owned and operated Japanese-Korean restaurant that offers some of the best in Japanese and Korean cuisine. When Mary Lee and her husband Sang Woo opened Sapporo in May 2000, they were looking to run a restaurant that combined the theme of family-style dining and the principle of healthy eating. Mary, who managed Koreana restaurant in Cambridge for over 7 years, decided to open her own place in Newton Centre, where she has been able to showcase what she does best - preparing and serving authentic home-style Korean cuisine.

Sapporo's encyclopedic menu offers a wide range of selections from Korea and Japan that everyone can enjoy. Mary and Sang Woo can regularly be seen, smiling and greeting both their loyal and new customers alike. Mary and Sang Woo's children - Susan and David - periodically host, wait on tables, bus tables, and even prepare sushi!

Sapporo prides itself on being family-friendly and providing great food and great service, and the owners have consistently delivered on this theme for over 12 years.
