Sardis City is a town in Etowah and Marshall counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is part of the Gadsden Metropolitan Statistical Area. It originally incorporated in May 1963 under the name of Sardis. It later became Sardis City in the 1980s. At the 2010 census the population was 1,704.GeographySardis City is located at .According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 20.4km2, of which 20.3km2 is land and 0.04km2, or 0.20%, is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 1,438 people, 572 households, and 458 families residing in the town. The population density was 195.1 people per square mile (75.3/km²). There were 597 housing units at an average density of 81.0 per square mile (31.3/km²).
