More about Secreto Cigar Bar

Not your traditional cigar bar. Trendsetters in boutique blend cigars, and both domestic and foreign trending and rare whiskies and malts. Couple that with our vast selection of spirits, cordials, signature craft cocktails, craft draft, bottled, and canned beers, and Champagnes or Sparkling Wines for all budgets. Our wine cellar aims to please the budget conscious explorer, to the aficionado who fears not price.

Though we still carry many of the classics, and virtually all top shelf cigars, our focus was to offer our patrons the most sought after small batch offerings the cigar world has showcase. "Secreto" meaning Secret in Spanish, don't last long. Take for example all of our offering in late 2014 and 2015. Obscure and unknown our patrons found our cigars to be the best they had ever smoked. As months passed they began to see social media & cigar magazines focusing on the brands we were the first to deliver regionally. In the realm of Whiskies, Bourbons, and Single Malt Scotch we took cues from reps, social and print media, and most of all, bars whose primary focus nationally was to deliver the finest and most rare and looked at them for direction, Some were just miles away. Humility is knowing when to seek what you do not know. Knowing is not to know bits and pieces, its being an authoritative figure on a subject. We aim to never stop learning, and that education is out develops a palette that can advise our patrons with confidence whilst doing a pairing.

Our primary focus when building and designing "Secreto" was to install the most technologically advanced ventilation system. Many of our patrons spend most of their time in disbelief as to how the smoke simply vanishes.

The signature craft cocktails and bistro portion of our menu were designed with the sole intent of accentuating your experience with us. Passion is the word most associated when it comes to the jobs of both our bartenders and tobacconists.

If privacy and or intimacy is on your agenda then feel free to make a reservation in our private dining / conference room. Do you have a much larger group to entertain? Look no further our VIP Lounge will accommodate just about your every need.

"Secreto" also boasts an explosive sound system, designed for both a "world class DJ," the delivery of a "hard hitting football tackle," or those second to none sounds of the sweet spot of a ball coming off a tennis racket, golf club, and the most menacing of all the baseball bat. We have identical sound systems in the main bar, and in our eclectic lounge, in this second to none man cave in the rear "VIP Lounge, which was designed to offer a timeless, contemporary and modern ambiance, so that man cave would would be comfortable for the ladies. Our decor may look pretentious to some for a cigar bar, but we never claimed to be one thing. "Secreto" aims to cater to the needs of those who value comfort, style, entertainment, and we aim to make your experience more of an exploration.

It was designed for singles, and couples to get on the dance floor, when our rear lounge transforms into an upscale ultra lounge, with "bottle service," and some of "Metro Detroit's" finest acts have already played our venue numerous times. DJ Tom T, DJ Bruce Bailey, DJ Jenny LaFemme, DJ Kelly Holmes,The Ghita Sisters, and our dear freind DJ Denis Celic, now resident at Sabbrage. Many more have graced the the decks but 2016 aims at yet another evolution in our lounge. Stay Tuned!

Lets not forget the Live Acts of 2014, and 2015 such as Pana-MO, and Michelle Ramo the resident at our neighbors at Jenuwine Cigars, and our here one day, gone another "so-called" resident vocalist, guitarist, and always comedic Kevin Gio.

In 2016 we look to expand on entertainment by adding more live music. DJ's for both house and lounge, a "Salsa Night (Latin)," and lets not forget our "Chic's 'n' Sticks.

We have a few surprises coming in late 2016 that are sure to make "Secreto" one of Metro Detroit's "must stops!"

Lets not forget why we built "Secreto," Cigars and Cigar Pairings, Over the next six months we are going to have lavish cigar events, personal hand rolling events, dinner engagements with the owners of some of the most well known companies and the respected faces of this industry, and in some cases the "execs" who have become the faces of many of the cigar companies. In 2015 we had events with Nestor Miranda of Nestor Miranda Cigars, owner of Miami Cigars, distributor of "La Aurora" the oldest and arguably the finest in Dominican Cigars " and "Tatiana Cigars" a dominant force in the flavored and infused cigar industry. Both he and Juan Lopez, Vice President of National Sales, and now "blender" for Gurkha Cigars both took the microphone and gave us amazing singing experiences in both English and Spanish.
We also had an event which at the time was distributor of one of my personal favorite cigars of the year the 'HR." Blended by Hirochi Robaina, the Grandson of Alejandro Robaina, famous for cuban makes Hoya De Monterey, Cohiba, and Vegas Robaina.

If you haven't made it our way yet, don't plan on coming just once. You need to experience us for dinner, a cigar, a night of live music, a night with a DJ, a night just to get a lesson in cigars 101, or stick around for a Ph.d with our in house tobacconist, or one of our cigar dolls. Although our roots were deep as tobacconists and merchants of spirits, the restaurant and bar business has proven to be filled with many challenges and issues. Not every night will be perfect, and its unfortunate that social media has made it possible for people who have never walked in out doors to pass judgement. If and when you have an experience that maybe wasn't the greatest, please share it with us, thats how we achieve perfect night for you!

Lets not forget we want all cigar retailers and cigar bars to succeed. We don't slander and for those who do forgot we are brothers of the leaf. I began in "Smokers Outlet," branded "Wild Bills," learned from each and every member of their team and now seventh largest tobacconist in the country and arguably the best chain store in the country. I am both dear friends and customer of Nash and Earnest at Churchills. During construction I went and purchased my "Liga Privada's" from Jenuwine, and his manager had a meeting here at "Secreto." I have been a patron at La Casa, and believe it or not had an amazing time at a wedding they hosted. We purchased our cigar bar exemption license from the owners of Stix, and exchange calls and even visits with our dear friend Mark at Belicoso's. This is the nature of our business, but lets not forget we all are aiming to be number one!
