SGT Shane Duffy American Legion

Sgt Shane Duffy 22, of Taunton, Mass.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.; died June 4 in Tikrit, Iraq, of wounds sustained in Sharqat, Iraq, when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small-arms fire and hand grenades. Also killed were Spc. Jonathan D. A. Emard and Sgt. Cody R. Legg.

We've opened this post in honor of our local hero SGT. Duffy to pay tribute to his ultimate sacrifice. We hope that our new Post 500 will bring together a wide variety of veterans as only other veterans understand the pride, honor and commitment of serving in our fine military. We invite any veteran to join our post! We will only be successful if we have our veterans use this wonderful establishment as a place to connect with other veterans.
