Since 1931, the Sheridan WYO Rodeo has been celebrating the west. With the stunning summer backdrop of the Bighorn Mountains, this world-class rodeo and weeklong community event has been named the Cowboy's Choice Rodeo of the Year and Women’s Pro Rodeo Association Large Rodeo. The WYO is also a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) circuits as part of the Million Dollar Silver Tour.
The Sheridan WYO Rodeo is a major stop on the rodeo trail for top cowboys and cowgirls from all over the world. Rodeo week begins with Boot Kick Off, followed by a traditional Native American POW WOW, rodeo slack events, Kiwanis pancake breakfast, Boots & Spurs 5K, Main St. bed races, Kendrick Park duck races, the incredible downtown rodeo parade and evening street dances.
Rodeo week runs July 9 - 15, 2018 and rodeo action happens Wednesday through Saturday evening, July 11 - 14, 2018 along with a nightly carnival at Sheridan County Fairgrounds. The week wraps up with tailgating and professional polo games at the beautiful Big Horn Equestrian Center.
