Cowboy Film Partners (formerly 360 Media) is currently filming the Documentary SHERPA. This documentary depicting the life of Tenzing Norgay and the Sherpa people and their rich heritage and culture is a story that has never been told. Its main focus is to raise awareness and education about whom the Sherpa people are. In addition to the education of the public the producers of this documentary will designate a portion of the proceeds from the distribution of this film back to the Sherpa people to improve their education and assist them in a better way of life. Specifically, the support of this effort will be aimed at the Sir Edmund Hillary School in Khumjung, Nepal and its 270 full time students.

Our ongoing goal will be to construct new multi- use buildings, bathrooms and showers. There is a need for clothing, computer labs, and teacher’s continuing education, not only at the Hillary school but also throughout all 5 schools supporting the Sherpa people in the immediate region. There are hundreds of climbers paying millions of dollars each year to attempt summit Mount Everest and the peaks nearby. These adventurers must walk right past the Khumjung Sir Edmund Hillary school on their way to their goal.. One would think that financial aid and donations to these children would not be an issue. But here are the Facts:

a. These schools have not received any financial assistance in the last two years.
b. There is a desperate need of clothing, food, water and school supplies. Running water and sanitary bathrooms are absolutely required. In addition the children need working computers to give access to the internet. Consistent power supplies such as solar power generators are needed. Low cost lighting run from the Solar Power system would extend the children’s learning and evening enjoyment. Even simple things such as socks, shoes, are needed.. The list goes on and on
