Siesta Key Crystal Classic

Every November, 24 international artists come to Siesta Key, Florida, to compete in this Master Sand Sculpting competition. The sculptors create a large community carve and 12 team masterpieces from tons of sand.
The timed competition is judged and the winners are revealed on Sunday afternoon.
New this year: The Learning Curve - a science and craft activity for kids. And there's more than sand at this festival: three days of live bands under the huge entertainment tent; Quick Sand - an ongoing contest of speed and skill; the Amateur Competition on Saturday and Tuesday viewing with mobi-mat.
