South Hopkins Fire Department protects and serves in a portion of southern Hopkins County, that is composed of residential, commercial, farm and wild land properties. In addition to several miles of Interstate, Parkways and U.S. Highways, South Hopkins Fire also provides protection for several public entities such as; churches, elementary, middle and high school, major truck fueling chain, Kentucky State Police facilities, hotel, Ky Wildlife Management Area and more. South Hopkins Fire Dept fleet consist of one pumper carrying 1,000 gallons, one pumper/tanker carrying 3,000 gallons, one tanker carrying 2,000 gallons, one brush unit carrying 200 gallons and a quick attack unit carrying 300 gallons and some of the most powerful extrication equipment in the fire service. South Hopkins firefighters consists of several men and women who are didicated to ongoing training and a commitment to serve our community in a professional manner. Not only does South Hopkins provide fire and rescue services but we are actively involved with our community through fire prevention, charitable programs, educational programs and more.
