Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital is proud of our hometown roots and exceptional care. We are growing in all the right ways to better serve our communities. More single rooms, critical care rooms and the latest diagnostic 128-slice CT scans are just the beginning. With its launch as a Spectrum Health Hospital, the Mecosta County region will enjoy coordinated care, expanded capabilities and the convenience of local expertise.

Mecosta County Medical Center joined the Spectrum Health System in 2013. Founded in 1926, the hospital has served Mecosta County and the surrounding region with a full range of medical services, including acute care, surgeries and birthing. Now Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital, the facility also provides a variety of rehabilitation, home health care and occupational wellness services.

Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital has 25 beds for inpatient care and a 24-hour, fully staffed emergency department.

We offer a wide variety of services including cancer care, a Rehab and Nursing Center, outpatient services, family practice locations in Reed City, Tustin and Evart, diabetes education and more. It is also home to the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center, an $8.9 million facility bringing state-of-the-art technology together under one roof.

We are one of the top two employers in Osceola County, with nearly 500 employees on staff. Our annual payroll of $18 million helps support area businesses, schools and local housing.
