Spookthefourstates.com was born out of our frustrations for trying to find ALL haunts and spooktacular attractions in the Joplin Missouri Four State Area. The site contains all-inclusive haunt information in one centralized and user friendly location. It's a free advertising site to those haunts that want to utilize us! We took it a step further and added a personal rating scale constructed and tailored to our love of all things that ooze, slash, grunt, growl, scream, howl, and go bump in the night! Our ratings are a 5 star scale and full detailed reviews are uploaded to our Facebook page. Ratings are based on current year attractions and the factors we look for in our rating are: scare/startle factor, auditory effects, smell effects, visual stimulation & detail, props, location, hospitality, fun factor, character make-up/mask, character interaction, aesthetics/textures, uniqueness/originality, creativity and value.
