St James Episcopal Church, Marshall, in southwest Minnesota is a small rural Total Ministry parish, a shared ministry congregation where everyone in the parish family is given the opportunity to find and do the ministry to which God is calling them.
The call to local lay and ordained ministry is led by a team that has been ordained and commissioned to provide a sharing and caring leadership for Eucharistic worship, education, outreach and mission.
St. James is committed to Gospel Based Discipleship to discern God's call, outreach supporting those in recovery and the Millenium Development Goals supporting a community center in the rural Muhanga District in Rwanda and Nets4Life to protect African communities from malaria. We are engaged in raising funds through a capital campaign supported by Candlelight concerts and lectures to make our 120 year old historical building accessible for those with mobility disabilities.
