St. Joseph Catholic Church, Circleville, OH

We are an active parish, meeting the spiritual needs of approximately 500 families in Pickaway County, Ohio.

The cornerstone for the present church was laid on June 10, 1910 and was formally dedicated the following year by Bishop James Hartley. The builder of the church was Fr. John Hannan, one of the most loved and respected priests to serve the community. The cost of the church was $35,000.00 plus furnishing. The exterior of the church is pure Gothic and the interior is Tudor Gothic. The exterior is made of stone mined near Cleveland. It was built to seat 440 people, and there are 15 main windows and seven sanctuary windows all from Munich, Germany. The church is filled with marble work from Italy.
