Starting in the fall of 1978, Senor Jose Luis Salazar began making tamales and tortillas in a small storefront on St. Mary's road just west of downtown Tucson.
Now run by his wife and children, the Salazar family continues a legacy of delicious traditional Sonoran food.
"You haven't lived until you've had the red chile..." is a statement and true testament to the quality and flavor of their food. Fresh hand-tossed tortillas, red chile beef and salsa's made daily, this traditional Sonoran homestyle cooking restaurant is one of the best Tucson has to offer!
