Stay and Play LLC

Dear Stay and Play Customers,

I am incredibly sad to announce that I will not be renewing the lease for Stay and Play when it comes up for renewal at the end of March.

Our last day of business will be on Sunday, March 22nd.

Until then we will:

Still have Open-Play every day from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm;
Still have the Birthday Parties;
Still honor Play Passes and Gift Certificates;
Still serve great Bean and Leaf Coffee;
and Still provide a fun and relaxing haven for parents and kids.

Open-Play

Daily admission will remain at $9 per child and only $5 per child on weekdays after 3 pm. We will be open every day from 9:30-5:00 until our last day of business on Sunday, March 22nd.

Play-Passes and Gift Certificates

It is very important to me that everyone has a chance to use their Play-Passes and Gift Certificates before we close. Play-Passes and Gift Certificates can still be redeemed for admission.

And they can now be redeemed towards your café purchases at $6 per Play-Pass punch and/or Gift Certificate. Unfortunately, we will not be able to make change on café purchases using a Play-Pass or Gift Certificate.

Birthday Parties

Stay and Play will continue to have our award-winning birthday parties through Saturday, February 28th. Call us today at 860-395-4446 to book your party and celebrate the Stay and Play way one last time.

We will, of course, honor all our current Birthday Parties - even those already booked for March. You will still get the full Stay and Play Party experience that we are famous for. Call us at 860-395-4446 if you have any questions.

Drop-Off Date Night

Our next and last Drop-Off Date Night is Saturday, February 14th. Have a great night out on Valentine’s Day and let your kids have an amazing evening at Stay and Play. The night runs from 6:00 pm to 9:00. $18 per child or two punches on your Play Pass.

Sensory Friendly Play Night

We are hoping to have one last Sensory Friendly Play Night in early March. Stay tuned to our emails and Facebook for more information. There are only a limited number of spots at Sensory Friendly Play Nights so book early.

After-School Program

The last day for the regular After-School Program will be Friday, February 27, 2015.

The YMCA runs an After-School Program at Goodwin Elementary and they can be reached at 860-399-9622. The Sherwood School also runs an After-School Program and they can be reached at 860-388-3717.

We will be running the Afternoon Program from 12:30-6:00 on Friday, February 6th and Friday, March 6th for the Professional Development half-days.

We will be running the Afternoon Program from 12:30-6:00 on Thursday, March 19th for the Parent-Teacher Conference day. We will be running a Full Day Program from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on Monday, March 2nd for the children of teachers and staff for their Professional Development full-day. This program will be open to Old Saybrook students if there are spaces after we hear from the teachers.

We will not be able provide the Afternoon Program for the Professional Development half-day on Friday, May 1st.

Stay and Play Staff

I have been incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful staff and I can unconditionally recommend them if you are looking to fill a position at your business.

Carol Schneider has been my Manager and Head Teacher for almost three years. She has a background in teaching preschoolers up to 6th grade. She has her CT Elementary Education Certification and Head Teacher Certification. She is currently going to school for her Early Childhood Director’s Credentials and to complete her Master’s Degree.

Purchase Stay and Play

Own a Piece of Stay and Play

If we have not found a buyer for Stay and Play, we will be selling off all our toys and equipment starting Monday, March 23rd. Please let my staff know if there is something you would be interested in purchasing. Help me liquidate my stuff without my having to go to a professional liquidator and pay them.

Everything will be for sale from the toys to the furniture to the travel mugs to fencing, etc.

On a more personal note:

I have spent the last 10 years creating and running Stay and Play and it has been one of the greatest adventures I have ever had. I opened Stay and Play as a great business opportunity without realizing how much I would come to cherish the friendships I have made and the joy in being a part of so many children’s lives. I am very sad and sorry that I am not able to continue this amazing business and I will miss everyone.
