Steinke's Greenhouse

We have a family farm near Juneau, Wisconsin, where we have a greenhouse nursery and grow popcorn and vegetables.
We put up our first 21 x 48 foot greenhouse to start vegetable transplants for our fields so we could sell produce at local farmer's markets. For fun, we started a few flowers from seed to plant around the farm. Of course we planted more than we needed, so we sold the extra at the farmer's markets. And we thought "Hey, we can do this!" Slowly we expanded our flower line and greenhouse space, selling only at the markets, until one Saturday we came home from the markets and found our greenhouse had been full of people that had created piles of flowers and left us notes that said "I want these - call me!"
In 2008 we put up a 32 x 96 foot greenhouse and opened for business on the farm. Today we have over 10,000 square foot of greenhouse space. We specialize in annuals, vegetable and herb plants and some perennials. We grow around 3000 hanging baskets.
We love to plant flowers in other peoples junk! If it is rusty, battered and broken and can hold soil, we will put flowers in it!!!
