Step Ahead Learning Center

Our preschool program strongly emphasizes our belief that children learn best by doing. Step Ahead staff members actively observe children and strive to provide experiences that stimulate the learning process. Challenges are provided to meet the needs of the individual learning styles. It is our belief that all children can learn. We believe that children are motivated to learn by their own desire to make sense of the world around them. Thus, early development of thinking skills is critical to continued success and happiness throughout life.

Educational experiences are provided that stimulate learning in all developmental areas, including social, emotional, intellectual and physical. Age-appropriate activities are structured to meet the developmental needs of each child. Experiences are provided for children to learn through active exploration and interaction with adults, other children and materials. Learning activities are structured to provide real-world experiences. Activities are designed to develop children’s self-esteem and positive feelings toward learning.
