Su Casa Supermercado

Su Casa Super Mercado is a local, family-owned and operated grocery store based in the Portland-metro area that has served families and neighbors since 1982. Formerly known as Su Casa Imports, it was founded by Isabell (Chavela) Mendoza and is the oldest Hispanic grocery store in Hillsboro, Oregon with an additional location in SE Portland, Oregon.

Our motto, "Su Bodega o Tienda de Sabores, Olores y Colores" (your local market or the store of flavors, aromas and colors) traces it's roots to our belief that our customers will always feel welcome and at home in one of our stores which is why everyone in our staff, from the store manager to our bakers, butchers and cashiers are local, bilingual and speak the language of our customers.

Su Casa proudly opened it's first store in 1982 in a 400 square foot space on 2nd Ave. in Hillsboro and at one point leased both our current location on 10th & Walnut and across the street on 10th & Oak, before settling on it's current location. Su Casa is proud to support small business ownership offering additional space in our stores to independent jewelers, restaurant and mobile phone service providers.

Co-owner, Chavela Mendoza who worked full-time in social service in the 1980's quit her job to make Su Casa a reality and has always focused on ensuring customers could find their traditional foods and spices to make their home meals. With the help of her husband and co-owner they launched and for over 30 years have been proud to employ local neighbors with a warm smile, contribute to the social and economic wellbeing of our community, and stay true to our roots of being locally-owned and operated. The Mendoza family has always adhered to their strong work ethic and unwavering integrity and empowered their employees to always do the right thing and serve our customers like family.
