Learn to build a wooden boat using traditional tools and methods

The Boat:
A Semi-dory is a seaworthy and rugged boat. It is versatile family boat that easily accepts an outboard motor. Stern side seats and two thwart-ship seats provide ample seating and space for gear.

Boatbuilding at Redd’s Pond Boatworks:

The week long class will meet daily to cover a range of boatbuilding skills from reading a table of offsets through the final coat of paint and launch. No experience is necessary for enrollment. A small set of tools is required for each student, but Redd’s Pond Boatworks has many loaner tools available. The class will construct one boat which will be sold for the cost of materials.


Cost: $850 per person.A $200 non-refundable deposit is due when you sign up.
