"Escape the room" games have been popular in Asia and Europe for many years. But now, you can enjoy the same experience, right here! Real-life escape room games are a type of physical adventure game in which people are locked in a room with other participants and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and escape the room within a set time limit. Some games include sub-plots. The games are based on "escape the room" video games in which the player is locked inside a room and must explore his or her surroundings in order to escape. Players must be observant and use their critical thinking skills to escape the room.

Q.WHAT IS TACTICAL ESCAPE 101?

A. Easily said, an escape room. (Lol.) A puzzle that you have to put together to beat the clock and "escape" the room. We have designed a puzzle for you to solve. All the clues are either hidden in the room or are part of it. As you solve and decipher the puzzle(s) you unlock the door to your room.

Q. What happens if I get claustrophobic?

A. All events are monitored. Please know that we are within seconds of the door in case of any problems. If you have problems we will be right there... But, breathe easy, our first test group had a participant with pretty severe claustrophobia and she had no problems. We are happy to announce her joy in saying, "It was like I was in any room of my house. I had no problems!"

Q. Will we go with other people?

A. Our rooms hold 2-12 people. Know that if your group does not fill all the available spots in the room other people can book those spots and will go at the same time. unless you choose the PRIVATE BOOKING option in the reservation process.

Q. How many people play at the same time?

A. Depending on the room and how many reservations we have, 2-12 people play each time.

Q. Are the rooms scary?

A. No. Whatever creep factor there may be will be apparent in the description of each room.

Q. How long is each game?

A. You will be given 60 minutes to solve the puzzles and escape the room but please plan on taking about 90 minutes from beginning to end. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of time and plan to spend 15 minutes afterwards for follow-up. In our Eau Claire location there is one shortened 30 minute game.

Q. Do we need to make an appointment or can we just show up?

A. To ensure the right amount of space for everyone, guard against over-booking and maximize everyone’s fun level we do require reservations. Go to www.tacticalescape101.com for appointments.

Q. We don’t want to play with strangers. Is there anyway to get a private room?

A. Yes. Go online for your reservation and use the PRIVATE BOOKING OPTION.

Q. What ages can play?

A. Our rooms are designed to be challenging to mature brains. Therefore all participants must be at least 9 years old. Younger children will not be allowed in the game rooms unless personal pre-arrangements are made. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a minimum of one adult.

Q. Do you host youth Birthday parties?

A. Yes. We will host FAMILY parties for youth between 9 and 15. Arrangements must be made prior and we do require an entire room be booked for your party with many adult Players as well. Please call 715-418-0012 for information and reservations for youth parties.

Q. How much does this cost?

A. Each participant is 25$ and Payment is due upon your reservation. We accept cash and credit card but will require a pre-payment for all reservations. We do offer group rates for groups larger than twenty people. Make these reservations at 715-418-0012

Q. Why is my credit card required?
A. Credit cards are required to ensure your booking. Our employees expect to be paid when they come to work. Pre-paid reservations ensure you will have the opportunity to escape for years to come.

Q. This sounds great for my company. Can we come during the when you don't appear "open?"
