Taganas means waterfall in the Bisaya language of the Philippines. The Taganas System is a family art incorporating Filipino techniques( Kali and Filipino boxing)Grand Master Rick learned in his homeland of the Philippines, mixed with arts that he studied after arriving in the United States. These arts include Tae Kwon Do, Goju Ryu, American Boxing, and other forms of Korean and Chinese based arts. The Art of Taganas is a defensive system, teaching students to assess situations, and take the necessary actions to protect themselves and their loved ones. It also teaches children and adults to have self confidence, focus, discipline, and inspires good work out habits that will last a life time.
