Tall Tails Beagle Rescue Freeport Maine

Tall Tails Beagle Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit rescue located in Freeport, Maine. Our rescue was founded by Chris Abbe in 2005. We work to find homes for unwanted Beagles, Beagle mixes and occasionally deserving pups of other breeds that are in need of rescuing (we call them "honorary Beagles!)

Beagles are a member of the scent hound group. They vary between 13 and 15 inches at the shoulder and usually weigh between 20 and 30 pounds. They possess a short coat and are easily groomed. Beagles often live to 15 years.

Our rescue dogs have all been examined by a veterinarian, brought up to date on their shots, spayed or neutered and have had their temperament checked.
