TCMI is designed to provide tools for Teen Challenge student interns that will equip them for leadership and service. TCMI allows interns the opportunity to receive real life experience partnered with Bible and leadership classes to help them become an integral part of a Teen Challenge center.
Students are required to participate in the online correspondence course while also performing assigned tasks at the center which they have chosen to do an internship at.
Interns are given assigned tasks to work in a multitude of ways so they can become acquainted with the ministry’s operational procedures. They are responsible for assisting staff in the day to day operation of the program, but will not be given complete oversight of any one area.
The education program is a 12-month commitment, divided into two six-month terms. All courses are completed via an online platform and email. The curriculum is based on the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) and Personal Studies for New Christians (PSNC) course from Teen Challenge USA.
Upon completion, students receive a PSNC teacher certification certificate. For course assignments, students are accountable to their center Executive Director and Program Coordinator along with TCMI facilitator.
