The Aquarium

The Aquarium is North Dakota’s number one source for live music. Located in the heart of downtown Fargo, our venue hosts more national, regional and locals bands and artists than any other place in the state. Our roster includes Father John Misty, Bon Iver, The Melvins, Prof, Built To Spill, Band of Horses, Trampled By Turtles and hundreds of other acclaimed acts.

The Aquarium is independently owned and operated. Our staff includes three core promoters and one core production director. Dempsey’s Public House, located below The Aquarium, supports the venue with bar staff and business management. Both The Aquarium and Dempsey’s have been awarded “Best Music Venue” and “Best Bar,” respectively, several years in row by the High Plains Reader.

The Aquarium’s mission is to bring in original, cutting edge music to the area for the purpose of bolstering a more inspired, diverse and creative community.
