The Black Leg Tavern

Our chef was the only child of Amish missionaries. As an infant en route to North Africa with his parents, our hero was captured by Barbary Corsairs. As the corsairs sailed to Australia to fence their loot a tremendous storm brewed and our swaddling hero was swept overboard. He eventually washed up in Antarctica where he was raised by penguins. After many happy antipodean summers a nefarious, nearsighted explorer arrived and convinced our teenaged hero to return to civilization where he promptly sold him to the circus. Fleeing from the abuse of a brutal elephant trainer our hero hid in the kitchens where he has remained ever since. That's his story and he's sticking to it.

We strive to always present you with the freshest of ingredients. While not everything on the menu is locally grown or crafted, we do our best to support local farms, breweries, and other businesses.
