Also known as Blind Pig or Blind Tiger, speakeasies arose in the 1920's during the Prohibition movement that lasted for 13 long years. Although many were raided by local authorities, that didn't stop the locals from getting their fill at "the places where you need to speak softly as to not arouse your neighbors or police"

The Blind Pig is our updated, modern idea of what a speakeasy is nowadays.
