The Copper Junction

A few months ago I (Alyssa) left my job to pursue one of my greatest dreams, to build furniture. My husband and I have a unique style. We both love Restoration Hardware Furniture, but we also love to add subtle warmth and soft details to the things we create. I do the building of furniture and goods and my husband helps me as a great visionary of putting all of the fine details together and also helps in design work. Im blessed that I married a man who runs and manages a business full time, so he is extremely helpful.
So basically I started working toward this dream 4 months ago and have slowly come to the place where I would love to make this passion of mine my full time job.
My husband (Caleb) and I met back in 2010 when he opened the door for me. Yes, its true! It wasn't the fairy tale story yet, but as you read on you will realize it is quite a fairy tale that became true for us.
We had mutual friends which led us to seeing each other every once-in-a-while. We slowly grew in friendship, but we honestly never desired anything more than friendship, tho he was definitely someone that I was interested in becoming a good friend of. If you know my husband he is such a caring, strong, tender-hearted, go-getter, friend to many, great sense of humor, uncle to 23 (almost 24), and he is gifted in so many ways. He has a passion for music and creativity, and one day we just may move to Nashville.
I, on the other hand, am outgoing, but I do enjoy sitting back and taking in a room full of people. My husband is more of the entertainer. He has the humor. I take life with a bit more seriousness, but I definitely love to have fun!

To make the long story short...
Four years after becoming friends, and within hours of each other (yes, hours), our hearts began to grow fond of each other without knowing that also was happening within the other person. We had seen each other at a social gathering and then in the next few days saw each other again with friends. When I saw Caleb for the first time, after my heart became open to a relationship with him, I knew that something deep was happening within me and I was quickly falling for him.
Funny enough, the very same thing was happening to him. There were subtle clues in our interactions with each other that made both of us wonder if the other person had a mutual attraction. Well, surely enough, Caleb and I sat down in Starbucks on April 29, 2014 and it all began... I cannot remember the exact words he spoke to me that day, but they were words of life that had never been said to me by anyone, and they spoke to a deep place in my heart. A place that I hoped would only be fulfilled by my future husband.

We fell in love so deeply and so quick. It was not a work of ourselves, and we know it was God that united us in our relationship. We were engaged on my birthday, and got married on February 22, 2015. It has been the best thrill of a ride that we have ever been on!

Now, in October of 2015, we are joining both of our creativity, style, unique gifts and abilities and putting them into action with our first business together.

For us, this is a great leap of faith. I am no longer employed and we are selling things that we no longer need and cultivating a home of simplicity, honor, and love, and putting much energy and effort into getting this business off and running.

We also love to create and build custom work. So if there is something here that you like, but you would like to make changes to it we can do that as well. Dimensions, color, stain, and wood type can all be changed to suit your liking.
