Crawfish Challenge

Welcome to the 2017 Crawfish Challenge, presented by CrossFit Soda City!

The 2017 Crawfish Challenge will be held on Saturday, May 6th in the heart of the 10,000+ attendee Rosewood Crawfish Festival in Columbia, SC!

The Crawfish Challenge will have 4 individually scored Events throughout the day.

In our 5th year, we will be having a TEAM competition- 2 person, same sex teams, with the top 3 after all four WODs crowned the “Fittest of the Crawfish Festival” and receiving CASH and prizes from all of our sponsors!

Registration for the 2017 Crawfish Challenge will OPEN on Thursday, February 16th

$140 is the early bird rate and gets each Athlete and a guest into the Rosewood Crawfish Festival, a Crawfish Challenge swag bag from our Sponsors and a Crawfish Challenge tshirt/tank!

The early bird rate will end at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 31st, and price will go up to $170 per Team. Registration CLOSES at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 1st!

The Crawfish Challenge has always been an “everyman/woman’s” competition with WODs suitable for MOST functional fitness levels.

WODs will have ascending weights, heights, reps, movement complexities etc. so that all levels may participate and some athletes will be able to progress further based upon ability!

There will be NO minimum work requirement for ANY WOD or ANY partner, so any level athlete may participate with one another!

The Crawfish Festival gets 13,000+ attendees annually and is a family friendly event with live music, activities and more!

“For the 12th year, the Greater Rosewood Merchants Association is gearing up to bring some infamous Creole cuisine to the Midlands! From 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., on May 7th, 2016, lovers of all things Creole and Cajun are invited to Rosewood Drive to take part in one of Columbia’s favorite celebrations featuring over 10,000 pounds of fresh Louisiana grown crawfish. If crawfish aren’t your thing, lots of other tasty treats will be available for your dining pleasure.

More than music and crustaceans, the Rosewood Crawfish Fest let’s the good times roll for the entire family! Check out this fun for the whole family list of activities at this year’s fest!

Once again in 2017, festival planners are bringing you tasty Creole crustaceans, and a great line-up of live music with over 15 bands playing on three stages. NEW THIS YEAR, the Li’l Crawdaddy Carnival has been expanded and moved to the area in front of Publix providing nearly a full city block of rides, games and entertainment for the li’l (and big) crawdaddys to enjoy. All this fun… it’s no wonder over 10,000 people come to Rosewood each year to let the good times roll!”
