The Freight House Restaurant

At Freight House, we're full of hospitality, hometown pride, and Southern cooking at its finest. Built by L&N railroad as a freight depot in 1915, our century-old building has character in every brick and beam. Today, we’re a proud fixture of historic downtown Hartselle, serving classic, refined Southern fare. From slow-cooked pinto beans to savory prime rib, everything is made by hand, right down to our potato chips. We’re honored to be a part of this building’s long life, and we can’t wait to show you what makes Hartselle the City of Southern Hospitality.
