Complementing the 13th century architecture of the Shrine and the Monastery, Castle San Miguel is located directly opposite the Shrine. Both the interior and exterior of the Castle call to mind the valor of knights and the courage of saints in times past. Castle San Miguel houses the Gift Shop of El Nino, a conference room, and catered eating facilities. The Great Hall is decorated with suits of armor and genuine antique furnishings. Also on display are several actual pages from medieval manuscripts. Specially commissioned statues of Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Joan of Arc adorn the Great Hall, serving as an inspiration to "fight the good fight of the faith and win for yourself the eternal life to which you were called" (Timothy 6:12).
