Hillcrest Transitional Housing offers displaced families a disciplined educational program within a caring Christian environment. Unlike many organizations whose focus is immediate or emergency care, Hillcrest’s objective is to move families from homelessness to self-sufficiency within 90 days by addressing the total life situation of the homeless families they serve.
The Thrift Shop has been established as an additional revenue stream benefiting Hillcrest Transitional Housing of Platte County. It is open for shopping to the public. All families in the Hillcrest Transitional Housing program, from every affiliate, are able to shop at the Thrift Shop, free of cost, to meet any needs they may have while in the program. Graduates of the Hillcrest program will received reduced cost benefits to shop at the Thrift Shop as necessary.
