The Learning Tree uses a whole language approach tied to weekly thematic units for teaching and learning. A typical day at The Learning Tree includes free play and teacher-directed instruction. During the free play period, children explore, discover, create, pretend, and interact with other children.
The teacher-directed activities include music, chapel, "alphabet adventures," language development, letter-book, science, library, and art activities. These activities are offered in a warm and loving Christian environment with a goal of fostering positive and enthusiastic attitudes towards learning.
