In 1908, Macedonia was founded under Rev. Louis Stokes, making Macedonia the first Black Baptist Church in the greater Watts area. Rev Stokes was followed by Rev. Washington, Rev. A.R. Ramsey and Rev. John Fleming under whose leadership a second sanctuary was erected.
These early leaders in the life of Macedonia were followed by Rev. L.M. Curtis, 1925 to 1940, Rev Douglas Ferrell, 1941 to 1944 and Rev. M. Harley Duvall, 1944 to 1946.
Rev. S.O.J. Evans served Macedonia from 1951 to 1965
Rev. Dr. Floyd Massey Jr. pastored Macedonia from 1965 to 1988
Rev. Aidsand Wright-Riggins served from 1988 to 1991
Rev. Robert L. Mason pastored from 1992 to 2010
Rev Shane B. Scott officially assumed pastorial leadership of Macedonia in November of 2011 with spiritual power and forward thinking vision.
