The Mission at Kern County

The Mission at Kern County, formally The Bakersfield Rescue Mission has been serving the community since 1952. In October, we celebrated 60-years of providing hope and restoration to a hurting population in our city.
The Mission at Kern County provides shelter to nearly 300-guests each night, through our Homeless Intervention Services and Christian Discipleship Residential Program. Every year, The Mission serves more than 200-thousand meals…that's more than 500 meals every day… and this January, we plan to unveil our new 18-Bed after care program aimed at helping residents transitional into the working after graduation.
