The San Jose Cambodian Buddhist Society, Inc.

As there were no Cambodian Monks in the San Jose area to preside at Buddhist ceremonies as required by tradition, the elders invited the Monks from the Oakland, Modesto, or Stockton temples. Even though they ran to some difficulties because those temples do not have enough Monks to serve the community needs. Sometimes, they have to invite Monks from other states, which involves much time and schedule conflicts. Therefore, they gathered together to find a solution. The word had spread through out the Cambodian community.
