More about The Spring

What makes tHe Spring unique is that it is so well thought-out from start to finish. Unusually for Sarawak, it is a tenant-only mall with no shopping lots sold to third parties. This gives tHe Spring’s management total control over the quality and value offered, a responsibility they take very seriously indeed, providing a host of value added services, including wheelchair and mobility scooters on loan for disabled shoppers and baby stroller on loan for families with small children. Best of all, car parking is plentiful (1,200 spaces) and very affordable, while bicycle parking spaces are provided free of charge.

tHe Spring’s main claim to fame is the overall shopping experience. The focus is on quality products sold by official manufacturer outlets or fully authorised dealers, with world-class brands such as, Coach, Habib Jewels, Sony, Timberland, La Senza, Esprit, Pandora, Guess, Khiels & L’Occitane and MPH Bookstore, many of whom made their first appearance in Sarawak. The near future also sees the opening of Sephora and a Swedish clothing brand.

The concourses are spacious and brightly lit, yet not crammed with promotional displays and exhibits, so the mall never feels crowded, even on the busiest days. There are frequent events and activities taking place, well planned and properly managed to enhance the shopping and dining activities.

Its yearly Community Fun Run event, tHe Spring Live Active Run, is in its third year and continues to garner new and returning participants, both local and international. Aside from promoting health and fitness, it serves as a platform in giving back to the local charities.

The mall offers over 120 retail outlets, anchored by a Parkson department store and a well-stocked supermarket carrying a wide range of imported foodstuffs and beverages. These are supplemented by dozens of food and drink outlets, including major international brands such as Starbucks, Sakae Sushi, Big Apple Donut, Secret Recipe, KFC & Pizza Hut, Sushi King, Manhattan Fish Market, and Kenny Rogers Roasters.

tHe Spring’s FoodBazaar houses a variety of cuisines in its 15 stalls with best-sellers and favourites such as the champion Singapore Chicken Rice and Madam Tang’s Laksa. Its recent uplift is designed by an international award-winning designer, drawing inspiration from a garden theme that seats hundreds of people.

The overall experience would not be complete without entertainment, and tHe Spring offers an 8-screen Cineplex, the first in Sarawak to feature dedicated 3-D screens, and an indoor playground, Kidz Paradise.
