The Studio Cedar Park

We are different than other organizations that teach art. Through our step by step process anyone, from child to adult, can learn to create original works of art. Goals are based on individual experience and interests. Ages 4 -100 are welcome!

From the rock carvings and cave paintings of the Old Stone Age to the pottery and weaving of the New Stone Age, history confirms that creativity is innate. By observing ancient forms of sculpture, carvings, clothing, drawing, painting, music, writing, and jewelry, we take an informative glimpse into the history of civilization. Each piece gives us a story...inner thoughts, feelings, and spiritual beliefs are conveyed. Time moves on; the creative spirit endures. It is part of us...every one of us, truly an element of our soul and divine makeup.

With the availability of computer games, television, electronics, and the telephone, many of our children lose touch with this innate desire. Public schools are cutting the Arts. Sadly, many children never pick up a pencil to draw again. The Arts are regarded as unimportant. The core of our culture...unimportant? The Arts grant us a vital understanding of relationships and how elements fit together - it is an understanding on which other disciplines rely. It cannot be eliminated without important consequence. Through creative expression, people gain confidence, develop individuality, increase self esteem, realize the importance of process and patience, and become more thoughtful, reflective human beings.

All of us here at The Studio Cedar Park understand the importance of preserving Arts Education. We take seriously our role in bringing the Arts to our community. Our students are artists, inventors, designers, writers, creative problem solvers, communicators, organizers, and big picture thinkers.

What is more - they are the conveyors of today's civilization...tomorrow's history. Those stories must be told.
