Located in the heart of downtown at 718 Congress Avenue across from the Paramount Theater.

With a total capacity of 198, the Townsend hosts a variety of corporate and private events, including happy hours, corporate parties, presentations, lunches, and private celebrations. Our award-winning mixologists can customize cocktail and beverage offerings for any private event, and our in-house kitchen serves an array of fine dining-style bar food items ranging from full entrees to small bites to passed appetizers and deserts.

MAIN BAR ROOM
The Townsend’s main bar room features its custom 33-foot bar, 15-foot high coffered ceilings, a parlor area with unique Italian glass tile floors, a 13-foot custom mirror, gleaming chandeliers, elegant tufted sofas and banquettes, leather swivel bar chairs and black swiveling barstools, 3 framed 65-inch 4K UltraHi-Definition Samsung TV/video monitors, modern art by Gerhard Richter and other rotating artists, and vintage leather-bound books from the 1800s and 1900s.

MUSIC PERFORMANCE SPACE
At the back of the main bar is the entrance to The Townsend’s music performance space, which has a capacity of 99 persons and serves as an excellent private event venue. The space features a custom private bar along with state-of-the-art acoustical design, a 10'/14' dark wood stage with a black tufted stage back, elegant black stage curtains, stained concrete floors, 3 10’ custom mirrors, and a MIDAS-32 digital sound board with EAW main speakers, subwoofers, and stage monitors.
