The Wave

The Wave is a time set apart to worship our Heavenly Father. The goal of The Wave is to worship our Heavenly Father. That's it! No agendas, no preaching, no time limitations - nothing but worshipping the Creator of this world through music.

The Wave was birthed when the Lord spoke to Brian Wright, Jr. (our current music minister at Gateway Church, Ashtabula), that He (the Lord) desired a time when people would come together with the sole purpose of worshipping Him. Brian set out to accomplish the assignment that the Lord had given him.

With the support of Pastors Don and Debra Hammer (current Senior Co-Pastors), Brian launched the vision of The Wave specifying the last Friday of each month as the time that we would meet.

That's how it all started. What's so awesome is to see the faithfulness of God as his people exalt His name. The Wave is made up of people from various denominations, various churches, various backgrounds who simply come together in unity.

We see bondages broken, deliverances, healings and salvations. People are set free as they push into God's presence. You can never be the same after being in the presence of our Almighty Creator - you have to change! We hear the Lord speak as his servants submit their spirits and minds to our Heavenly Father who sits on the throne and to Christ who is seated at his right hand.

Freedom reigns in The Wave service. Freedom to praise and worship the Perfect One, the Lamb who became the ultimate sacrifice. We encourage everyone to worship as they feel comfortable and as they feel led. Our Lord delights in our seeking and pursuing him.
