The Wesley Foundation at WCU

The Wesley Foundation is the United Methodist ministry on the campus of Western Carolina University. Wesley is open to ALL students of any creed or background. Many students call it their “home away from home.” One student recently said, “I like that it is a place I can get away from campus. There is always a group of students there to do something with.” Through out the week Wesley holds student lead contemporary worship, bible studies, service projects, free meals, and trips on and off campus. Wesley Foundation students also participate in mission trips. Recently groups went to Nashville, Kentucky, New Orleans, Sunset Beach and Guatemala for a variety of mission work.

We have served students over the last fifty years by providing a community where Christians grow in their relationship with God and with each other. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to a radical witness where truth, forgiveness and reconciliation are practiced. We are trying to live the Kingdom here.

To that end, we offer a center where students are welcome to worship, see one another, study, rest and have fun. We also have several group events during the week that revolve around corporate worship, study, table fellowship, and just plain fun. What we do here is dynamic and is always subject to change. We are a people on a journey.
