The Whole Grain Bake Shop aims to be a cornerstone in the Brewer/Bangor area, by offering a wide variety of fresh, made-from-scratch, baked goods, made with all-natural, high-quality, healthful ingredients, that are unrefined, chemical-free, and non-GMO. These baked goods are made with an eye towards nutrition, and are individually portion-sized. Many of the delicious, health-conscious baked goods are gluten free and vegan. I also offer healthy, gluten free treats for your canine friends.
I have a variety of cookies, cupcakes, muffins, scones, sweet breads, brownies, and biscuits. My menu of treats will be one that is ever-changing and expanding. There will also be seasonal offerings as well, which will include, fresh local apples, blueberries, and cranberries, to name a few.
Many of the all-natural, verified non-GMO ingredients are certified organic. I use a variety of gluten free whole grain flours to make the bakeshop’s tasty treats. Sweeteners that are used include agave nectar, which is low-glycemic, evaporated cane juice crystals, and maple syrup. Coconut oil is my oil of choice, as it’s nutritious, and has many health benefits. I use pure, virgin coconut oil that has not been refined, bleached or deodorized. I also do not use preservatives, so it’s best to eat your goodies within a few days, while they’re fresh.
