Her husband, Davis Godwin, is a descendant of one of the original families to make Little Switzerland their summer home, and then later their full time home. Jann and Davis have enjoyed ownership of their current chalet home in Little Switzerland for 25 years, and have made Little Switzerland their full-time home since 1999.

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Jack is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Business Administration/Finance. Jack moved to the mountains of North Carolina in 1983 when his family purchased the Switzerland Inn in Little Switzerland. He graduated from the prestigious Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida before relocating to Little Switzerland.

Jack is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys fishing, hunting, motorcycling and four wheeling in our beautiful mountains. He enjoys sharing his love and knowledge of fishing with others as a fishing guide in the area. Hiking and floating the river are also activities he enjoys with his family. Jack is married with two daughters who also share his love of the area and often join him on fishing and hiking excursions.

Jack's extensive knowledge of the Little Switzerland area comes from having lived in Little Switzerland as well as working at the landmark Switzerland Inn and learning from the local residents as well as guests visiting the area. For the past twenty years Jack has lived, worked and played in the western North Carolina mountains and has extensive knowledge of the area and its amenities.
