The Tipitina's Music Office Co-Op is a workforce development, technology access, and job skills training project for musicians, filmmakers, and other digital media workers. It provides practical business infrastructure and a statewide network of facilities and connections for Louisiana's creative entrepreneurs.
At it's most basic level, the Co-Op is a staffed office space where Louisiana musicians and media workers have easy access to standard business equipment - fully-equipped computers with high speed Internet connections, plus phone, fax, photocopy services - and training or technical support as needed.
The Co-Op also provides access to specialized media tools for learning desktop publishing and audio/video recording and editing. Seminars, workshops, clinics, legal aid, health screening and performance opportunities round out the Co-Op’s structured offerings for musc/media entrepreneurs. Members use the Co-Op to learn their trade, conduct business, find collaborators, finish projects, and market their goods and services.
First established in New Orleans in 2003, Tipitina’s Music Office Co-Op includes vibrant operations in New Orleans, Lafayette, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Monroe and Alexandria, Louisiana.
