MMA instructor Tony Garcia started his martial arts career at the age of 11 when he signed up for Taekwondo. As he progressed through the belts, his passion for the sport only intensified. During this time, Tony competed heavily in tournaments with a high degree of success and reached the level of 3rd in the nation in his youth. He eventually earned his black belt in Taekwondo as well as in Hapkido. He then began to study Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 21 years of age under Beverly Hills Jiu-Jitsu Club, trained there for many years and started his pro MMA career fighting out of this gym under Marcus Vinicius and training partner and friend Marc Kompaneyets. His first MMA fight was in the back of an MMA gym in an octagon they built before MMA was mainstream like it is today. He then fought in sanctioned pro fights. It was a natural progression for him to share his knowledge to those following in his footsteps so he began his career in 2005 teaching MMA at Bas Rutten’s Elite MMA gym in Thousand Oaks CA. During this period, he trained under the guidance of Bas Rutten and eventually became the MMA instructor for two years as well as a regular substitute instructor for the incomparable Mr. Bas Rutten.

Tony is now teaching mixed martial arts to all skill levels in a fun and engaging environment.
Classes are held at Ferny Jiu Jitsu Monday thru Friday 11:30am to 1pm and a Saturday class from 9am to 10:30am. classes cover Thai boxing, no gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and striking for MMA conditioning.

The fees are as follows: $75 dollars for 3 classes a week or $100 for unlimited classes Monday thru Saturday. SEE YOU SOON!
