Tool is a city in Henderson County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,275 at the 2000 census. The racial makeup of the city was 95.56% White, 0.40% African American, 0.40% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.22% Pacific Islander, 1.19% from other races, and 2.11% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.33% of the population.There were 1,006 households out of which 19.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.0% were married couples living together, 10.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.2% were non-families. 27.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
