The name Turning Pointe Massage is inspired by my love of Ballet and dance. I basically grew up in a dance studio and after discovering my love for classical ballet, I decided to pursue my dream. I continued to dance through school and also danced professionally for a few ballet companies. During those years, I often would use massage therapy to help relieve tension, prevent injury, and also for muscle recovery. From about the age of 18, I have also suffered from tension headaches. Having anywhere from 2 to 5 a week, it was extremely frustrating. Not wanting to continue having to take medication on a daily basis, I thought I would give massage a try and the results were beyond my expectations!
After retiring from the dance world, I felt massage therapy would be a natural fit for me. Knowing how much it had helped me, I wanted to help others with their aches and pains, especially those who share the pain of tension headaches.
I graduated from Southeastern Institute for Massage Therapy in 2013 and have been working at a spa in Charlotte since July of 2013. I am licensed in both NC and SC but live Fort Mill so I would love to start helping people in South Carolina as well. I am looking forward to branching out on my own and meeting lots of new people!
